About Us
BarCode Bootcamp was born from a simple frustration: traditional bar prep is (for lack of better phrasing) utter garbage. Truly it is. The companies that exist, simply take your money and leave you alone with countless hours of prerecorded passive lectures where different professors (some deeply unhinged) drone on and on as they regurgitate words they're reading off of an outline. Not much sticks. As you refresh your memory about one topic, you forget most of the info you just watched in the previous videos. So, we decided to fix that. And we fixed it by replacing passive watching with active training. Barcode Bootcamp is a live, visual, instructor-led training program designed to make you exam‑ready similarly to how an athlete becomes game‑ready.

The founder

I built the bar prep program I wish existed when I was studying for the bar.
I'm Martin Biancuzzo, a Massachusetts licensed attorney and the founder of Barcode Bootcamp.
I graduated in the top 10% of my law school class with Latin honors, completed the Honors Program, and earned multiple CALI Awards for achieving the highest grade in several of my courses.
I knew the law. I understood the law. I had spent three years proving that I could learn it, analyze it, and apply it.
Then I started studying for the bar.
I used traditional bar prep. I watched the prerecorded lectures. I worked through the massive outlines. I followed the program.
And I failed the bar exam.
That forced me to confront something important.
The problem wasn't that I didn't know the law. It wasn't that I couldn't understand the law. And it certainly wasn't that I needed someone to give me even more information.
I needed a better way to organize it, retrieve it, recognize when it was being tested, and put it to work.
I needed clarity.
I needed to see how the law fit together instead of trying to navigate hundreds of disconnected rules across massive outlines. I needed to understand how bar examiners use facts to signal the issues they're testing. I needed to recognize those signals, identify the issue, retrieve the applicable rule, and know how to apply that rule to the facts I was given.
Most importantly, I needed to stop passively studying the law and start actively training to use it.
So I changed the way I prepared.
I began organizing and visualizing the law so I could see the bigger picture and understand how the rules fit together. I focused on the recurring patterns in bar exam questions and the facts that should signal what was being tested.
I trained myself to do what the bar exam actually demands:
Recognize the issue. Retrieve the rule. Apply it to the facts.
That approach changed everything.
I increased my score by more than 70 points and passed the UBE with a 338.
But Barcode Bootcamp didn't come from the score.
It came from realizing that the program I needed when I was struggling didn't exist.
So I built it.
Barcode is live, interactive, visual, and active. We don't spend our time simply feeding students more information. We organize and visualize the law so you can see how it fits together. We teach you to recognize how bar examiners signal the issues they're testing through the facts. And then we actively put that knowledge to work through practice, discussion, and immediate feedback.
Because knowing the law is only part of passing the bar.
You have to recognize the issue from the facts, retrieve the applicable rule, and apply that rule to the facts under pressure.
That's what we train.
I know what it feels like to fail this exam.
I know what it feels like to have every reason to believe you were prepared for it and still come up short.
And I know what it feels like when you finally stop drowning in information and start seeing the exam differently.
That moment of clarity is why I built Barcode Bootcamp.
Visualization creates clarity.
Clarity creates breakthroughs.
Join the next cohort and have a breakthrough of your own.

What we believe
We teach you to see the law as structured frameworks, not walls of text. Diagrams and patterns make rules stick under exam pressure.
Every session is live, interactive, and built around doing, not watching. You train against real MBE and MEE questions every night.
Small, accountable cohorts keep you on a daily rhythm. You study alongside peers who are just as committed to passing as you are.
